Years after the strange drowning death of her father, Tina Shepard (Lar Park Lincoln) returns to the site of his demise, Crystal Lake. Her developing psychic powers were responsible for ending his life, leaving Tina riddled with guilt as an adult. Really bored so I've been binging the series, up to 7. As the series developed the acting and production did improve. Sadly, what showed zero improvement was the writing and direction. There is no craft here, no skill, nothing remotely clever. This is a tedious slasher film, paint by the uninspired numbers. It's almost as if Jason is bored as well, simply killing for no reason and in uncreative ways. Sadly, even though this film is terrible, no character or plot development, it's one of the best ones in this crap series. Heck, there isn't one jump in the whole movie.

Friday the 13th the New Blood starts off with a story that could be great but then just gets lost in itself. It had its good moments but this is just one of those goofy ones that kept me semi interested but lost me most of the time. Tina’s story was interesting but all the other people in this movie were just boring. I think this could have been better had they done stuck with it just following Tina.

Greetings from Lithuania. The only reason why "Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood" (1988) didn't got a lower score then 5/10 from me was the fact they at least tried to do a bit something different with the premise here. The obvious Carry theme that was ripped here trying to fight with Jason is different, but at the end non of that matter as its just below average film in comparison to what came before. Gone is the self awareness of Part 6 - gone is any fun in film at all - it is just a lean and clumsy film that isn't fun to watch. Acting again here again was bad by everyone involved. I liked the Part 6 legitimately but this one is just not a good film to me at all. Overall, "Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood" and small budget, poorly written, badly acted and clumsy directed sequel. Not even an OK film.
