In 1991, talented figure skater Tonya Harding becomes the first American woman to complete a triple axel during a competition. In 1994, her world comes crashing down when her ex-husband conspires to injure Nancy Kerrigan, a fellow Olympic hopeful, in a poorly conceived attack that forces the young woman to withdraw from the national championship. Harding's life and legacy instantly become tarnished as she's forever associated with one of the most infamous scandals in sports history.

Very funny and great performances from Robbie and Janney, ably supported by Stan and Walter. Visually good and well directed by Gillespie with an effective soundtrack. Also didn't pull it's punches about growing up in adverse social conditions. Better than I expected.

Eu, Tonya, é um filme bem trabalhado, com uma ótima direção, não tinha conhecimento da história de Tonya, mais filme ótimo para olhar mais de uma vez, além da Margot entregar muito em sua atuação, me impressiono a própria não ter ganhado o Oscar, sua atuação é impecável, sou meio inexperiente de falar sobre fotografia, mais para mim foi memorável.

I really enjoyed I, Tonya because it was easy to follow and the way the story unfolded made it fun and often funny to watch. The film’s fast pacing and humor kept me engaged, and the mockumentary style made the characters feel entertaining and memorable. However, the movie did become a bit bland at times since there were no major twists, and much of the plot felt predictable. Even so, there were still moments where I genuinely felt sympathy for Tonya and other characters, especially when the film showed the emotional and personal struggles behind the scandal. Overall, despite its predictability, I, Tonya was an enjoyable and engaging movie with strong emotional moments.
