R T @RT12169244 3 days ago No one would ever claim this is one of the best movies of all time, but it's just campy enough and nostalgic enough (for those of us old enough to remember the 1980s and/or the early years of science fiction movies that often played in syndication) to be an enjoyable watch. I particularly enjoyed recognizing so many of the clips and creatures featured in the film. The film doesn't take itself too seriously. The entire film feels like it's cemented at a specific point in history. It plays on many stereotypes and tropes, in a way that adds to its charm. When the credits rolled, I was feeling good and had a smile on my face.
