Listen, the cinematography is fine, the dinosaurs look like action figures made from Kenner. The movie really isn’t about dinosaurs until like 1 hour later on the film. Steven Spielberg was supposed to direct this film, but he said that the first two Jurassic Park films doesn’t need a third one. But, later on 2001, he changed his mind and instead of directing it, he produced it. I really don’t William H. Macy in this. Still, you know, Sam Neill does good as Dr. Alan Grant and Tea Léoni as Amanda Kirby. The plot doesn’t even make sense. Anyways, I give Jurassic Park III a 4.7/10 or a 2.9/5 stars. See more Romas M @Romas Jan 7 Greetings from Lithuania. "Jurassic Park III" (2001) has to be one of the most shortest running blockbusters i have ever seen. While it was fun movie overall, i couldn't believe my eyes when the credits started to roll - nevertheless at running time 1 h 22 min. it delivered what it promised, sort of. Parts III was always in my opinion weakest in the trilogy and it didn't add anything new to the series. It felt like they did run out of ideas for the third film. Pacing of this movie is kind mixed bag - at short running time it still manages to drag. It lacked the "WOW" sense that was in a first movie, but still it was a pretty fun adventure film yet felt like a small spin off. Overall, "Jurassic Park III" isn't really anything to remember except that it featured Sam Neill again and he was the best part of the film. It had good special effects (for a year 2001), some new dinosaurs and was overall fun adventure but it felt like a side quest. See more Severi L Dec 29 Jurassic Park III is a compelling dino adventure with some of the most epic scenes in the entire movie series. Objectively, it´s nowhere near the best movie of the series but I really actually liked it. I enjoyed the atmosphere, the characters and of course the new villain - Spinosaurus. JP3 is not a masterpiece like original Jurassic Park but it still manages to keep up the grand old Jurassic atmosphere and gives 90 minutes of pleasure for the fans of the movie series.
