Nowhere near the classic first film and it has a bit of the drearies but the Garson/Pidgeon team work well together.

The Sequel to Mrs.Miniver that I've seen often, this Movie is the continuation of the Story when her(Greer Garson) husband returns from the War to a lady who is truly that, a Lady ,& Mother ,who has kept the Home Fires burning,& raised the Kids.Narrated from the husband(Walter Pidgeon)'s perspective. Her Daughter Judy(Cathy O'Donnell) Grown & was away doing War Efforts herself is struggling with Loving a Married Man or the Neighbor Boy, her Son Growing up ,& all of them having to learn how to return to a life they once had but has changed due to the War.The Big Hitch, Kay Miniver has Terminal Cancer, which in those days had no cure, & people kept under wraps, even the patient wasn't often told in those days.A Poignantly Beautiful Film.
