Pooran S @Pooran 2d Watched it in it's Hindi dub on Jio-Hotstar. For me the most engaging thing besides it's complex, intelligent plotline was it's atmospheric forest area setting, excellent cinematography, apt use of bgm sound & lighting to create tension avoiding any use of unnecessary CGI, it's honest if not outstanding performances. And thank God for no song or dance routine. A movie that needs close attention being a non-linear plot so every word, every scene is a link to the next . And an unexpected climax that leaves things open to interpretation & maybe a Chapter 2. In Indian cinema a brave attempt indeed to make such a movie. Certainly a recommended watch. See more Srishu R @RT84029057 2d The direction is good, came up with an inspiration from itachi Uchicha from Naruto series character. Which was exceptional in that series. The director could sell this stuff after cooking up with minimal story and one concept. Far better than other movies I watched Indian movies. People who saw Naruto anime series, this is like cumin seed in whole dish. Kudos to Malayalam industry which showcase much efforts then any industry in whole India. I myself from Hyderabad Telugu. Exhausted with my recycled movies from past decade. Not all Hindi movies but some exceptional movies carved out well, Bollywood is a disgrace to India’s reputation globally. Less drama more new content is well encouraged this generation. So do previous generations who are in mid/late 30’s. See more arvind S @Arvind100 Mar 18 Sambhavam Chapter One is a unique experience. It swallows you, just like the forest swallows the characters in the movie. Sambhavam is based on a short story by the same name. It keeps the viewer thinking, especially if you are not aware of the core concept of the movie. There are sufficient twists to keep you engaged till the end, with plenty of questions left unanswered. The cinematography and sound play right into the solid story/concept envisioned by the director. The performances are decent, though they are a bit rough around the edges in my opinion. There are moments that could have been executed better, especially in the 2nd half. But the concept more than makes up for it as you are drawn into this mysterious world like an ant is to honey. The subsequent chapter(s) of Sambhavam have to answer a lot of questions because right now, not a lot is clear and I am glad the makers have kept some secrets left to be revealed in the future.
