McMillen ("Dark Journey"); journalist Jerry Mitchell; Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.); and former Mississippi governor William Winter.

  • No matter how many times you've seen the history documented, it remains eye-opening; no matter how many times you've heard it, it's worth hearing again.

  • Spies speaks in a calm voice and acknowledges that the anti-civil rights movement in Mississippi ran far deeper than one government agency. Still, it's a somber reminder of how much the movement had to overcome.
