Target of Opportunity is A compelling story of deceit, misplaced blame, a failure of the justice system and wrongful imprisonment with visceral interviews from the US Navy SEALs involved. We are always told you have a right to a fair trial but those rights are anything but a fair trial. J.D. Leete did amazing work putting the documentary together. I would like to pick out a few things Dusty should be free. 1. Due process 14th Amendment convictions were reinstated on legal theory never presented at trial depriving Dustin of the right to defend himself against it. 2. Right to a fair trial the jury never heard the actual killer Billy Browns confession or was allowed to consider it in their deliberations. 3. Right to present a complete defense critical exculpatory evidence with Browns confession was not available to the jury that convicted Dustin. 4. Proportionately 8th amendment even under the prosecution’s harsh view Dustin’s role would have been accessory after the fact max five year sentence now nearly 30 years Therefore, clemency is warranted. 5.DURESS BECAUSE OF BILLY BROWNS MURDER FEAR OF BROWN REASONABLE FEAR FOR DUSTINS LIFE.
