Stupid in a funny way. The whole thing cracked me up from the bad dub to the forced seven deadly sins idea to the overuse of the word succubus to the clumsy Nosferatu references to her dress(?) thing. Too boring to be good-bad. The music was creepy. I watched this right after I watched Rififi and was surprised to see Servais pop up, it was like watching the rise and fall of a career in one evening
It's the old cliched combination of a family curse with your standard stranded tourists in an old spooky mansion plus the added "seven deadly sins" story-line...but there is a little something extra: the presence of the very sexy Ms. Blanc - wearing a remarkable wardrobe selection. Low budget but well-shot and definitely worth your time...
"DEVIL'S NIGHTMARE will leave its MARK on you!"--Insanely Brilliant 70's Junk!!!
At the half-way point (if you haven't already turned it off), you'll be wondering why nothing has happened yet.
Six tourists and their guide are forced to stay in an old castle with a Succubus who kills all those with a weakness for one of the seven deadly sins. Has good atmosphere, ending, and some unnecessary lesbianism. A satisfying effort.
A decent Italian gothic horror that is somewhat underrated. The music was brilliant and extremely errie. I really enjoy the different methods of murder invovling seven deadly sins. The film has a beautiful set and extremely atmospheric. The characters were colourful, Erika Blanc looked super hot in the film. The pace of the film was a bit slow, lots of unecessary little scares were used through out, but it doesn't stop the film from being entertaining.
There are bits and pieces of the film that I did enjoy, and Erika Blanc made for one hell of a succubus. But, everything that is good about the film is strung together with a flimsy story and no character development.

Decent film but some of the characters were bad and the lesbian sex was unneeded to the story. The main enemy appears randomly in the film but there are some nice death scenes but some stupid parts. The music is nice though and the ending wasn't so bad.
Seven stranded tourists, each representing a deadly sin, spend a night at a castle where they are killed or corrupted by a succubus. The seven deadly sins angle is intriguing, but the movie itself is slow and dull; after a perverse introduction, it takes an hour of additional setup before anything starts to happen. It's a "serious" horror movie with some interesting imagery and atmosphere and a creepy Devil, but not enough virtues to overcome the ponderous script.
A really enjoyable exploitation/euro trash movie. Erika Blanc is brilliant in this movie.
