Exonerated after 15 years in prison for a murder he didn't commit, former gigolo Julian Kaye faces the challenge of picking up the pieces as the detective who put him behind bars tries to unravel the mystery that led to his incarceration. Julian works to reconcile his escort past with the man he is today by reconnecting with former lover Michelle, his troubled mother, and fellow sex workers. He seeks the truth about the frame that sent him to prison all those years ago and hopes to reconnect with his one true love, Michelle.

Julian and Michelle do not even meet until the last episode which is crazy since their relationship is supposed to drive the show. Jon Bernthal is very compelling as always, and has great chemistry with Gretchen Mol. Her character is rather poorly drawn - but found I could look past that and suspend a bit of disbelief as the atmosphere and mystery drew me in. Beautiful direction and score. Rosie O'Donnell starts off a bit odd and became a nice bit of comic relief to break up the drama. Highly recommend it! But why does the runaway boy look exactly like young gigolo? And the mother/girlfriend looks exactly like the blond pedophile teacher---who looks exactly like the blond client? Add the back and forth cuts between decades and confusion ensues. Maybe use a red-headed kid and a brunet next time so we can tell them apart. Good show, though.
