Critics Consensus

Expansive in scope while hurtling towards the endgame at a rollicking pace, Arcane's second and final season is a supremely satisfying capper to an epic saga.

In true Arcane form, the visuals literally paint a sad but gorgeous image of Jinx feeling unmoored without someone to follow. Go to Full Review

They really hit the ground running, and at the end of the first episode, I knew this season wasn’t going to let up. Go to Full Review

"Arcane" continues to be the most visually stunning and dense series on television today, demonstrating why animation remains the most daring medium for creatives to convey a potent narrative. One can only hope for more stories from this vast universe. Go to Full Review

Storytelling cannot be perfectly even all the time, but in [the] quest to make sure that Arcane concluded in a true ending, many of the characters we loved fell to the wayside, and the thematic importance they carried fell with them. Go to Full Review

Once again, Arcane proves its worth as a spectacle and one of the more impactful animated show of our time, even if it can't quite capture the magic of season one. Go to Full Review

Eddy x D @Eddy_3520 3d I really love Arcane. It's a fact that I've been playing League of Legends for a few years now. Season 1 is okay, but if you keep going until the end, great things happen. Season 2 completely blew me away. A beautiful, sexy, and spicy scene with Vi and Caitlyn. I love them! They have a great dynamic in the show! Season 2 alone, when it comes to sad moments, I cried so hard I couldn't hold my tears. I highly recommend this show. I don't know if a fan who hasn't played the game will enjoy it. But I imagine fans of the game will. I watched Season 1 when it came out, and today I watched Season 2 after so much time. I regret not watching it sooner. I'll definitely go back and watch this show again! See more Julius W @RT59060138 3d After the incredible first season this was disappointing. It's still not a "bad" show but it's nowhere near the perfect storm that was S1. While the first season was incredibly "tight" around the Vi/Powder arc with all the other storylines just supporting the main payoff, this season seems to try to pack four seasons worth of stories into a single one, making the result a convoluted mess that is hard and unsatisfying to follow. Every other episode the setting has changed to much that it feels like an entirely different season. Some character's stories (e.g. Jayce) are so confusing and only explored after the fact through flashbacks that I'm still not entirely sure what exactly happened there. The continuation of Powder's story feels unsatisfying because she immediately acts like a very different person than she left off in S1, most of her later character development seems random and unearned, and then her story concludes in the finale with a particularly frustrating "idiot ball" moment See more Logan H @RT78796346 May 7 Season two was so amazing, it was very fast moving but arcane is just a fast show, it would have been so cool to see an episode or two more to slow it down and explore the relationships of the character more, It felt like some of the characters tension with each other was put in the back seat, but otherwise an absolute must watch. See more Akuma J @Akio222 Mar 29 I'm not crying 😭😭😭 See more B P @Powers209 Mar 24 TV is not dead. There are great shows out there. Sure, those shows are far and in between. Arcane is one of those shows. A must-see! See more Elijah F @ElijahThorns Mar 10 This season felt VERY rushed, and the pacing was too fast. I struggled to understand scenes sometimes, (like the ones with Mel). The writing is very weak compared to the first season. Characters with little depth, or just straight up plot devices. The animators, visual effects artists and other visual artists truly carried this season, and personally, I think it distracted the audience of how mediocre it is. A big disappointment.
