Like many artists looking to get a foot in the door, Big Smo started small in the music business. Fans in his home state of Tennessee first heard his unique sound -- a blend of country, Southern rock and hip-hop -- on his 2002 debut album, "Kuntry Kitchen," which not only got Big Smo in the door but also paved the way for his lifelong dream to come true. This reality series follows Smo (real name John Smith) as he readies to release his first major-label record, "Kuntry Livin'," and promote it with a rigorous touring schedule. When not on the road, Smo is a homebody at heart, spending time with his girlfriend and his two young daughters, plus a lively entourage that includes his mother, childhood friends and manager.
