Loved it great music Hair looked a bit plastic - that may have been deliberate

Although the CG is untextured, the animation / motion capture is kind of tight. The camera angles and 'acting' is pretty effective. Fight scenes are very good. While there is nothing quote unquote new about the BladeRunner world in this, it's a pretty okay way to kill a Saturday afternoon. Also, because the CG is so unfinished and video game-looking, it kind of feels punk rock.

Without spoiling it, only the last four episodes are any good. This is sort of "Blade Runner for Dummies," where they come right out and say replicants have souls and emotions rather than leaving it open to personal interruption. While it's not fantastic, at least it has something to say, which is more than I can say for "Bladerunner 2049" (its idiot thesis was that natural child birth = soul) Until you get to the last four episodes, the animation is terrible, nothing has any weight to it, and it feels like invisible children are playing with dolls. Also there's a weird thing with the sound where there's a random length pause before every line (anywhere from .25 to 1.0 seconds) While the last four episodes get better animation, it's not night and day better. But I will say it looks like they managed to make something watchable and mildly interesting on practically no budget. It helps that the two main characters are likeable. But then it pulls most of the punches, saving them from having to make any hard decisions.

Something is weird with the animations, characters' faces and teeth. It is like watching the cutscenes of a low budget video game.

Top quality animation, great visual style, perfect soundtracks, all in all great show if you like this genre.

I think the CGI animation for this movie is absolutely brilliant. The attention to detail is absolutely astounding. Even small details such as the appearance and texture of graffitti on a phone booth and the way whisps of clouds roil in the sky are incredible well done. I'm a Go player and the way the Go game is portrayed was wonderful. The board, stones and position was authentic and the moves played from scene to scene progressed in a logical way. Brilliant! The only other animated movies that have this level of attention to small background detail would be those done by Miyazaki, and I believe Black Lotus stands even above the master. There are some elements of the animation, such as when a character drinks from a glass that seem a bit awkward, but these moments stand out because they are so few and the rest of the animation is at such a high level. It's incredible hard for characters to look realisitic in the motions, but this movie goes further than anything I've ever seen. The faces are so realistic and convey genuine emotion. Black Lotus deserves more recognition for the artistry that it achieves. The characters and story line are compelling, and I very much look forward to seeing another season.

Who thought this was a good idea? A simplistic, poorly written and paced series that plays like 13 too long cut scenes from an early 2000's video game. The voice acting is forced, but at least some of the fight scenes have decent choreography. They also need to lose the pop songs... which undermine even the minimal atmospheric qualities that resemble the movies. Just kinda pointless.

One of the greatest things about the Blade Runner movies is the music/sound. This series really misses the mark, especially with the awful pop songs it uses in the credits. The soundtrack music in the episodes is mediocre at best, totally phoned in, disappointing.

Excellent atmosphere, interesting storyline, and the graphic quality is amazing. Definitely Fresh... and a Must See if you like SciFi.
