From the creator/executive producer of A&E Network's long-running series "Intervention," the similarly styled "Breaking Point" features attorney and certified intervention professional Darren Kavinoky assisting families affected by a loved one's criminal behavior. Kavinoky conducts surprise interventions that offer the troubled subjects a choice: accept treatment or face incarceration. Each episode documents the lives of real criminals to reveal the devastation their behavior has caused themselves, family members and friends. Kavinoky lends his authentic viewpoint stemming from his own personal experience, which includes drug addictions and related arrests.
