War time is serious and to see someone sabotaging to the point of comrade’s deaths. 😞if you are at all patriotic please don’t watch. I cried and was very angry and helpless. I just realized this site is for advertising. My 30 yr vet brother told me not to bother, I now see why. He served while y’all producing and acting. The tragedies faced by so many of it's characters were gut-wrenching to see unfold with beautiful cinematography and very good acting from all involved. I feel that the abundance of screen time dedicated to sex sceens was to it's detriment. While each scene certainly served their intended purpose, I feel that several overstayed their welcome. This show became like a drug and made me addicted to it, every episode made me want to watch the next one. The story based on the book was made into film wonderfully, the enviroment and the music fitted the shows vibe fantastically. I definitely recomend you to watch it! See more 10/27/2021 If they tried to just directly translate the book to screen it probably would have been a disaster. Instead they told the story in a more linear fashion and more often than not, managed to capture the heart of the story. Much of the series was shot in Sardinia and using actual surviving B-25 bombers and it paid off, the series is gorgeous. The cast, from top to bottom, is wonderful although I wish they had given Hugh Laurie a little more to do. Abbot steals the show as Yossarian, though, delivering a truly standout and memorable performance. See more Read all reviews
