Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: Part 2 (2019)

Part 2
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

Critics Consensus

With a stronger central mystery steeped in witchy world building, Chilling Adventures remains a deliciously dark, delightfully campy romp that pushes Sabrina deeper down the path of night -- if only she would get there a little faster.

The gothic and campy teen show seems like an unlikely candidate to be the one making bold proclamations, but coursing through its witchy veins is the blood of change.

Whether you were positively bewitched or left wanting more by earlier episodes of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, the start of its sophomore season brings an impressive amount of promise.

While "Part 2" built on the familiar strengths of the first part (and suffered from many of the same frustrating weaknesses), without a doubt it was a helluva fun ride.

Part 2 amplifies the series' universe and signals a change in direction that looks promising. [Full Review in Spanish]

Overall there are some great moments...That being said, the writing really hinders the show, leaving me thinking of the places it could go, the potential it has, and how it could have been more than just buzzwords.

It's an interesting question, but it shouldn't have been asked so damn quickly. And it's changed the series a way I don't think it's ready for.

The series has gained complexity and some interesting ramifications to see moving forward. [Full Review in Spanish]

While big events overwhelm most of the series, there's still dazzling performances to be seen from almost all of the cast, plus a few character arcs that will have you cheering from your sofa. Like I did. Loudly.

While the cast is once again firing on all cylinders, the storyline that weaves throughout is a little lacklustre by comparison. But, by all accounts, it's still essential viewing!

This "part two" doesn't even really feel much like a season two. Things have changed, of course....

This second part of season one complete decimated the character build up the show had done during the first half. Felt like the writers were completely disregarding everything from the first half, and in the process underestimating the audience's intelligence and commitment to the show. Respect your audience enough to write consistent characters, please.

    Horrible ending waste of time.

Really they villified Angels in an episode! What's next it will be Jesus/God that will be trying to kill humans, when he created them, that's just bull. It irked me that they always talk about cosmic debt crap but whenever dumb ass witches mess with mortals they seem to be exempted, I.e we never saw Agatha or Dorkas got any kind of retribution for what they did, when they obviously messed with the natural order, honestly I wish they were killed by the Angels and now the miners who died never got their justice. I hate how Sabrina never freaking mention that Tommy died due to witches, yeah keep that in the dark while I go do more feminist agenda crap, rather than actually enacting justice. Honestly I feel the show is being ruined by some type of agenda and never really actually giving justice to those who actually need them.

Gave up after the first episode of season two. To interested in sticking SJW nonsense down our throats instead of concentrating on the story. Seriously considering caceling my subscription if they keep ruining shows this way.

Where a all the good writers gone are there none left? I understand the need to talk about problems of teenagers in our society in shows like these it is a show for teens after all but why is it impossible for writers these day to deal with these issues in a subtle and clever way? It is so distracting and in your face that I tuned out after the 5 Episode of season 2 which is yet another show that could have been something fun and entertaining for seasons to come but decided to put politics over good and more importantly clever storytelling
