News & Interviews for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: Part 2
The gothic and campy teen show seems like an unlikely candidate to be the one making bold proclamations, but coursing through its witchy veins is the blood of change.
Too often, [Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina] favors parlor tricks over substantive magic.
[T]he continuation of a firmly female focus, delightfully dark angles on religious worship, education, and teenage issues, and terrific performances across the board ensure this is nothing short of a stellar Season 2.
Whether you were positively bewitched or left wanting more by earlier episodes of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, the start of its sophomore season brings an impressive amount of promise.
While "Part 2" built on the familiar strengths of the first part (and suffered from many of the same frustrating weaknesses), without a doubt it was a helluva fun ride.
Part 2 amplifies the series' universe and signals a change in direction that looks promising. [Full Review in Spanish]
Overall there are some great moments...That being said, the writing really hinders the show, leaving me thinking of the places it could go, the potential it has, and how it could have been more than just buzzwords.
It's an interesting question, but it shouldn't have been asked so damn quickly. And it's changed the series forever...in a way I don't think it's ready for.
The series has gained complexity and some interesting ramifications to see moving forward. [Full Review in Spanish]
While big events overwhelm most of the series, there's still dazzling performances to be seen from almost all of the cast, plus a few character arcs that will have you cheering from your sofa. Like I did. Loudly.
While the cast is once again firing on all cylinders, the storyline that weaves throughout is a little lacklustre by comparison. But, by all accounts, it's still essential viewing!
Audience Reviews for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: Part 2
Jan 28, 2021Season 2 picks up the torch from S1 and ignites the terrific and more edgy storylines for all involved. With an added sense of mystery, and some potent new villains, season 2 is arguably more exciting and nourishing than it's predecessor.
Jan 05, 2021Besides the discriminating and sexist undertone that all and only straight white men are malicious beings, the show remains quite enjoyable.
Nov 14, 2020This is absolutely one of my favorite shows as I love the kinda creepy and witchy fiction. This show has such great writing and I don't see a single thing wrong with it. I recommend watching it if you haven't already!!!
Jul 30, 2020This season went downhill from the first with the plot not being as entertaining and the story quality not as good. I kept watching to see if it would get better but didn't.
Jul 22, 2020Everything that was fun to watch in the first season, becomes annoying and more of the same in the second season. As Sabrina herself was clever and outsmarting everyone in the first season, in the second she is just intruding everyone's personal lives with her trying to be good-vibe
Jul 17, 2020Quite interesting The end of the season is little different or a bit of disappointing but ok If you watched s1 then you can't stop yourself... So watch it
May 14, 2020Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Part 2 is worth watching for anyone who enjoyed Part 1. It retains its excellent adult cast and expands some of the actors' roles. The writers use the same slapdash, fast-paced approach to horror, which involves a lot of campy fun alongside some rather questionable writing. Part 2 has more issues than Part 1, including a lack of cohesiveness between the "mortal" storylines and the ones that take place among Sabrina's witch cohort. The mortal storylines are lazily written and dull. Other characters, including Richard Coyle's Father Blackwood, abruptly transform into villains for the demands of the story, making character development rather erratic. The season takes a strange turn halfway through and goes through a large amount of plot development nearly at breakneck speed. It is entertaining, but rushed, and leaves one wondering where they will take the series in the future when they have covered so much ground already.
Apr 30, 2020Attempts to make Sabrina's dark character this time around have been somewhat unsuccessful. She seemed to be losing balance in human life and witch life. But the mysterious life had added a wonderful romantic taste
Apr 07, 2020The first half of SABRINA season 2 starts off at a regular clip, but then half way through just about when we're getting bored with the weekly problem, it flies in some other crazy direction and we ride that crazy train to the end, where we learn all that rebellious craziness was planned and plotted by the ultimate evil. I mean, the characters keep praying to him. What do they expect? Honestly.
Apr 04, 2020Keeps up the pace from season 1. This show is a mutch watch for anyone looking for a magical/dark/mystery series.
