Those who have large collections of certain items -- people known in extreme cases as hoarders -- have become a common subject of reality shows in recent years. In this series, appraiser Elyse Luray, formerly of Christie's Auction House, tries to help collectors assess the value of the lot and decide what they want to keep and what they should sell. Large pop-culture-centric collections that have become obsessions include an accumulation of 30,000 comic books, a garage filled with Catwoman memorabilia, and an assemblage of Transformers that makes the owner's house nearly uninhabitable. Luray tries to help people trim their collections to free living space or to get cash.
