"Dallas" is the saga of the Ewing family and its massive oil empire. Patriarch Jock has three sons. The eldest is J.R., the relentless CEO of Ewing Oil. Less obviously malicious are Bobby and Gary. Over a decade-plus of backstabbing, inbreeding, lust and greed, dozens of characters enter and exit the "Dallas" universe.

No dangling grip on the cliff's edge this time, they had vowed, just a tidy terminal plunge for the show's spectacularly protracted story line. Go to Full Review

While the final season is never going to go down as a "Dallas" highpoint, at least it doesn't go out like a bruised, whimpering puppy with its tail between its legs. Well, not quite. Go to Full Review
