See more Spamfilter806 D @RT64066002 03/21/2025 This show is so awful I created Rotten Tomatoes account just to pan it. I saw half of two episodes sitting at my physical therapist's studio. Thank God I couldn't actually hear her voice for the second episode. The result of their "edgy," "bold" design choices in the first episode was just something that resembled my mother's oh so chic hair salon FROM 1991. Then they moved onto the second episode which was a beautiful American craftsman with gorgeous original wood details inside--they either, painted, covered, or ripped out every piece of original wood they came across. If these two came into my historic city they'd probably be tarred and feathered. What a trashy couple. Someone at HGTV must have a Kardashian fetish to have greenlit this show. Cole is the biggest jerk now See more Lauren W @RT85302082 09/10/2023 I am wanting to give it 5 stars, but I will say I kind of see the same design patterns over and over again.... I do get that her and Cole both are amateur designers, and they are just starting out in this new world and getting a feel for it, so I know why they are lacking personality sometimes, they are unsure of themselves at this point in time. You are all expecting work like on Fixer Upper with Chip and Joanna Gaines, who have had YEARS and YEARS of experience. They don't have years of experience and degrees in this field. Joanna started out unsure and I am sure not all of her designs were up to par either. Everyone has to begin somewhere, and they are just beginning this adventure. I think Chelsea does seem to go for the same design style, which is not always a good thing, take for instance the "Cozy Craftsman" that they did, I would have painted or stained that wood trim that they left around the windows and doors because it threw the whole vibe of the house off, the wood was way too orange for what they did with the house. You can't have cooler tones with that orange wood, and that wallpaper she picked out for the dining room, that was a bad choice. I love her designs probably about 75% - 80% of the time but then I am like what is she doing on the rest. I didn't like the French Glam Bungalow at all, that was way too much going on and it was hard to even look at, but if they loved it that's all that matters. They need to work on some things but overall, its good. I don't understand why you all are hating on her for her style and the chemistry between her and Cole. They love each other very much and even though you might not see it all the time on screen, it doesn't mean that they don't have any chemistry, I mean are you and your significant other just glued to each other and kissy-lovey-dovey all the time? PROBABLY NOT! Chelsea has always talked like that, and she has always dressed up, I mean so what that she doesn't "act" her age... who does? I mean just cause you're in your thirties doesn't mean that you have to act sophisticated and boring all the time. She has the money to dress how she wants now, but she still acts like the same girl we know from Teen Mom, only different. I mean she isn't just teen mom anymore and you all need to understand that. Chelsea if designing is what you really want to do keep going for it cause you're doing GREAT overall! As long as you and your clients love it, that's all that matters!
