Widowed pediatrician Harry Weston is a miracle worker when it comes to dealing with his young patients, but he's more challenged by the other people surrounding him: daughters Barbara and Carol; his wisecracking office assistant, nurse LaVerne Todd; and obnoxious neighborhood mooch Charley Dietz. Thank goodness he always finds a friendly shoulder (and a warm, wet tongue) in Dreyfuss, his enormous dog.

So this is the boy's version; a silver fox saga of Golden Girls neighbor Dr. Harry Weston, his two crazy hyper competitive thirty something boomerang baby daughters, Carol and Barbara, that live with him: their oversexed interloperish Joe Isuzu type neighbor Charlie Dietz; and Harry's Nurse/Assistant Laverne. This show is just the definition of SOLID; I mean Susan Harris did know how to build sturdy sitcoms back in the day. Good acting, particularly from Soap Alumnus Richard Mulligan; the daughters and Joe Isuzu are all great as well and have excellent chemistry. Overall: Recommended See more Read all reviews
