Every year hundreds of eyewitnesses record alleged encounters with Bigfoot, a legendary cryptid described as being a large, hairy, bipedal apelike creature. More than a third of the sightings come from the Pacific Northwest. In Travel Channel's "Expedition Bigfoot," an elite team of researchers plugs the reported sightings into an advanced data algorithm to narrow its search for the elusive creature to an area in central Oregon. The eight-part series tracks the teams as it treks into the deep woods hoping to find evidence of the cryptid. "Travel Channel has assembled the very best team of experts in Bigfoot lore and science to give us proof of the creature's existence once and for all," said Matthew Butler, general manager, Travel Channel. "The journey is formidable, and the jeopardy is real. Skeptics and believers alike will both agree the trek this team makes is something they have never seen before."

Scott C @RT70664310 Jul 8 The show isn’t a joke. They have gathered some stunning evidence and photos. They also got a possible blood sample on the last episode. Preliminary tests showed hominid. We are told we will find out exactly which hominid on the upcoming season. I would recommend this show because it’s very thorough. Gives us scientifically based conclusions . And entertaining See more Double D @RT87636590 03/09/2025 I've spent a lot of time in the woods. I'm 65, and think its pretty silly to think a wild creature is going to let a person walk up on them in the middle of the night shining lights and talking. It doesn't work that way. For a show that is supposed to have top notch people on it, They do alot of dumb sh---!! But fun and aggrevating to watch. See more Jonathan C @matrixclese 07/28/2024 Have watched 4 seasons of this show, for entertainment alone. hilariously terrible writing, and even worst acting. More than likely all of this is filmed in the woods outside of Atlanta, GA. it's hilarious. See more Richie F @RT13489092 11/07/2023 I hope to see a season 5. I believe season 4 was pretty well put together until the last episode. I believe it should've been spread over a span of 1-3 more episodes. Episode 8 seemed pretty rushed compared for every other episode where they moved at a normal pace from other seasons. Expedition Bigfoot is definitely my favorite paranormal/bigfoot show to date and I'd hate to see it not renewed. I believe 10-14 episodes may suite the show better going forward to allow for a non rushed product at the end. I did enjoy the season as a whole and think the technology used was really better then anyone else I've ever seen hunt Bigfoot. I think the west coast is the best place to be going forward and I wouldn't mind another season in Washington state but I do think northwest Canada/Alaska wouldn't be the worst place to look either. See more Linda H @RT43688031 11/06/2023 Season 4 Expedition Bigfoot was fascinating and well worth the wait. I was sad there were only 8 episodes and one complaint is it seems there were more commercials since previous seasons. My guess is the current economy of ever increasing prices caused the need for more ads. I missed Russ's camera guy! He was absent this year. The scenery is gorgeous and you can see that every year the quality of the camera work increases as well as the scientific equipment used. My overall frustration was a short 8 episodes as far as I can see and the production changed. The primary folks Mireya, Ronny, Russell and Bryce were all there thank goodness but things seemed slightly tense and generally less relaxed amongst them. Not sure what occurred but seemed something changed. I hope they come back and we don't have such a long wait for the next season like this year. Spoiler Alert: I think the creatures are very very smart and even though there seems to be so much evidence they exist, again they evade direct visualization somehow. I like hearing chatter between the creatures but howling back and forth between humans and Bigfoot seemed absent. Where did that go? I love the introduction of more high tech equipment so that was great. Russ's stealthy tracking is nothing short of amazing. They are all very talented and have unique styles and philosophies of what to do and why. I can't wait to see where they go next. Please come back! See more Read all reviews
