What the more casual spectator wants, and gets, is a highly dramatic, bingeable distillation of a sport that involves multimillion-dollar cars going in eccentric circles. And which provides better camera angles than you’d get from any grandstand. Go to Full Review

But, eight seasons in, some viewers...might be detecting a trace of saminesss in the mixture. The fact that this time around we only get eight episodes instead of the traditional 10 perhaps suggests that Netflix...might be inclined to agree. Go to Full Review

Jack L @RT22102532 Mar 25 Season 8 of Drive to Survive lands as another mediocre entry, continuing a streak of underwhelming seasons. It misses out on going into depth on some of the standout 2025 storylines, like the Hulk podium and the Papaya rules controversy, which were highlights for me as a fan. The focus leans heavily on the big teams, losing much of the charm found in the midfield narratives of earlier seasons. Still, the format remains fun and offers excellent access to the sport’s world, and I’ll keep watching because of my love for Formula 1. Netflix should threaten to dump the series without more editorial control to show the key issues and relationships for what they are. See more Esteban C @RT03454761 Mar 10 always nice to have a recap of the previous season on the dawn of the upcoming one! although i didn’t love the fact that they cut two episodes off this season and that they overdramatized a lot of the things that happened, the main plot lines were there and i got to rediscover and relieve those moments from a different perspective. after all, they should have been harder on horner’s situation and less on alpine, since it definitely wasn’t their year!!! See more CrzTank T @Tank_01 Mar 1 Poor. I'd give it no stars of I could. The editing is dreadful. Race engineers DO NOT egg on their drivers mid qualy lap Summing up a season in 8 episodes, out of order of races as they happened and outside of events as they happened. Why are you dubbing the engine sounds? Last episode ypu have Lando slowing for a hairpin and the engine sound is dubbed with a car going flat out Honestly, get someone on board who actually understands the sport.
