4/5
This quixotic endeavour will no doubt indicate whether there actually is raw talent on England’s estates, yet the more immediate fun was the sight of Flintoff looking a bit of a nobody for once as he tried to round up the kids in his home town of Preston. Go to Full Review

The tale of how Flintoff gradually pulls his initially reluctant band of young scruffs into something resembling a team can only be described as heartwarming. It needed a few stand-out characters if it was going to work, and it’s found them. Go to Full Review

Ju T @RT25948149 Sep 24 Inspiring. You don’t need to know or watch cricket to enjoy this.. I’ve haven’t watched a cricket match since I was a child and that was at village level. I have never watched televised cricket, but this show is more about giving an opportunity and sense of achievement to kids, some of whom have fallen by the wayside. I binge watched the first series, and am now onto the third. Freddie Flintoff, who lived life to the full and made a few headlines, sometimes not for the best reasons, is the perfect choice to front this and work with these, sometimes challenging, teens as they become young men. I’ve found myself following cricket, especially at the village and county level since my re-introduction via this series. See more Read all reviews
