Developed from novels by Cecily von Ziege, Gossip Girl has lots of characters and shifting relationships and could be heading for a longer run that The O.C.

Most of the grown-ups on prime-time dramas behave like children anyway, so where's the shame in escaping into a teenie confection like this?
