These are moving stories and they are worth being told, of people opening up and publicly revealing vulnerabilities they once kept private. On those merits alone, the series is a success. Go to Full Review

In Heart of Invictus, the mix of humanitarian documentary and royalty-watching never coheres. It’s a well-intentioned mishmash but a mishmash all the same. Go to Full Review

So many times in the past year we’ve seen Harry shooting himself in the foot. Well, he’s up and running again. Go to Full Review

Michael W @mawilps 09/13/2023 This sports docuseries was very good. Prince Harry and the entire crew did a spectacular job on this docuseries about the Invictus Games. It's very inspirational and dramatic to watch. Prince Harry is a true inspiration and hero to the world for starting these games for people with physical or psychological injuries. These games help them rehabilitate and improve on their integrity, endurance, and determination. It also gives them hope that everything will be fine. If you haven't seen this docuseries yet, check it out sometime. It's a definite must see. See more Carolyn G @RT34987379 09/10/2023 It's clear that most if not all of the one star very negative ratings are not from people who actually watched the series (I don't pay attention to 'royal watching' but it's clear that those people's main goal was to 'review bomb' based on their personal animus.) Beyond being moving, inspiring, and a much-needed reminder to all of us of the very real human sacrifices made on our behalfs by those who serve and who suffer the consequences when we fail to prevent war, this series is documentary filmmaking at its finest. It tells (or rather allows the veterans to tell) the stories of both visible and invisible injuries and the effort to thrive in spite of them. It features perseverance and hope without sugar-coating or shying away from hard and painful reality. Archewell and Netflix have brought something very valuable into view with this series and I hope many will watch. See more Jing W @wuliao 09/10/2023 "Heart of Invictus" (2023) is an incredibly moving documentary that beautifully captures the stories of wounded veterans overcoming adversity to compete in the Invictus Games, highlighting the resilience of the human spirit and the power of community. It's a must-watch for those seeking inspiration and a reminder of our innate strength and potential for greatness. Despite what some complain about Harry and Meghan, the documentary focuses on the veterans, not them. Criticisms suggesting Harry made it all about himself may be rooted in personal biases against the couple, but it's important to appreciate the film for its powerful message and the veterans' incredible journeys. See more Cat J @LabradorLady 09/08/2023 I think Invictus lacks credibility due to Harry being involved and his spurious military experience and ongoing public victimhood doesn't reflect resilience and courage. The Invictus Games website claims: The Invictus Games were the brainchild of Harry, the Duke of Sussex. This is misleading. Credit should be given to the US Warrior Game that he attended in Colorado in 2013 and where he got the idea from. He is just wrong as the poster child for this series and I couldn't get past that! See more Joanne B @RT48881332 09/05/2023 I just finished watching the first two episodes of Heart of Invictus and the first thing that comes to mind to say is: Wow. Awe inspiring. Emotional. Real. So real. We all live in our own tiny bubbles in this world and too often we don't realize how much others give for their countries, for us, for our children and grandchildren. Heart of Invictus gives us a window into the lives of those who gave, and it shows the strength of the human mind and body to overcome and achieve. The main theme to the series is mental health, documenting the journeys taken by wounded, sick or injured veterans as they gathered to compete in the 2022 Invictus Games held in The Netherlands. The testimonies of personal strength and challenges are powerful, moving and inspiring. As I start my day today I pledge to be a better person. To be stronger and know that I can overcome the hurdles placed in front of me if I try. To remember that the world stretches far beyond my small bubble and to go out of my way to thank those who gave so much for all of us. Thank you Netflix for this incredible documentary. See more Rosalie R @RT30397610 09/05/2023 Beautifully presented, poignant program showing the strength of the human spirit and what can be achieved when there is the right kind of support. These brave wonderful people sharing their vulnerability and at times, despair, followed by their healing. A splendid program. Prince Harry is to be commended for sharing his own private issues and using that to create something so wonderful. Brave, powerful and emotional. I loved this program See more Read all reviews
