If someone is traveling to a city for the first time or just wants to discover a new place to eat in his hometown, there's a pretty good chance the person will turn to Yelp to read reviews before deciding on a restaurant. Depending on the reviews left by the site's users, that can be either good or bad for a dining establishment. In this series, chef and restaurant consultant Monti Carlo sets out to help struggling eateries improve the quality of their food and service. After members of Yelp's Elite Squad -- a group of the site's users who offer well-written reviews and high-quality tips, along with other characteristics -- secretly visit a restaurant and provide no-holds-barred feedback to the owners and Monti, she comes up with a plan to fix the problems and turn the place around. The restaurant then gets a second chance when a different group of Elite Squad members visit the -- hopefully -- new-and-improved version of the business to give real-time feedback about their experience.
