Jeff P. @JeffPolier Sep 5 Season 2 doesn’t receive the full five stars because it ends with a clip show episode. Horrible! See more Eri T @RT20108307 03/19/2023 "Horrible Histories" season 2 is an absolute delight for history buffs and comedy lovers alike. This British television show, adapted from a book series, is a sketch comedy program that explores the not-so-glamorous side of history. The second season of the show continues the tradition of bringing history to life in a hilarious and engaging way. Each episode covers a different era or topic, such as the Vikings, the Tudors, or ancient Rome, with a fresh and irreverent approach. One of the things that makes "Horrible Histories" so enjoyable is its talented cast, who bring their comedic chops and energy to every sketch. They're able to play different characters and accents with ease, and their enthusiasm for the material is infectious. The show also features catchy musical numbers, which are both educational and entertaining. From the "Rotten Romans" rap to the "Divorced, Beheaded, Died" song about Henry VIII's wives, these musical moments are sure to get stuck in your head. But what sets "Horrible Histories" apart from other history programs is its willingness to tackle the gruesome and uncomfortable aspects of the past. Whether it's showing the brutal tactics of the Viking invaders or the hygiene practices (or lack thereof) of ancient civilizations, the show doesn't shy away from the gross or disturbing details. Overall, "Horrible Histories" season 2 is a must-watch for anyone who loves history, comedy, or just a good time. Its unique blend of humor, music, and education makes it a standout program that's both entertaining and informative. See more Read all reviews
