Tv Season Info

Season 2 of this compelling, deceit-laced drama picks up just a week and a half after the end of the first season with the appearance of Eve (introducing Famke Janssen), who shares a close bond with Annalise (Viola Davis) going way back. Annalise is preoccupied with defending Caleb and Catherine Hapstall (Kendrick Sampson, Amy Okuda), a duo accused of torturing their adoptive parents to death. Wes (Alfred Enoch), meanwhile, desperately hunts for (dead) Rebecca (Katie Findlay), with her foster brother's help; at the same time, Connor (Jack Falahee) and Oliver (Conrad Ricamora) endlessly vie for each other's affections. Asher (Matt Mcgorry) has started depending heavily on A.D.A. Emily Sinclair (Sarah Burns) to keep his secret life under wraps. And, as the little seeds that were planted in the first season begin to surface, key figures are wiped out, cover-ups follow, and even Annalise herself seems like she will barely make it out alive. As the season draws to a close, Wes starts to look into his mother's suicide 10 years earlier, revealing some unshakable ghosts.

    An excellent and engrossing series.

More preposterous than S01, for sure. There's more jumping around the timeline, and more shouting at the TV too. Lol. It was a struggle at times to get to the end, but its addictiveness carries you through

HTGAWM continues to surprise, thrill, and build up its narrative by setting up new murder cases in a single story without seeming repetitive.
  • Jun 16, 2020
The sophomore season of the beloved law and murder drama, knows how to juggle with the prior events on the first season and mix them up, without overlapping with the current concerns our characters face.
  • May 08, 2019
They need to change the name oc this show. Season 1 is how to get away with murder, really good law show. Season 2 is how to get away with porn on cable. Do you need 25 sex scenes in a 45 min show? They do probably only way they somehow got to 5 seasons

I liked season one, but I couldn't make it through season 2. You have to really turn off judgement to accept the many bad decisions and and unlikely twists. Also, there isn't anybody remotely ethical left to cheer for.
  • Feb 07, 2018
Already complicated and crisscrossing lies are getting even more complex, creating a sense of dread where the viewer is left wondering when everything will unravel and destroy the protagonists.
  • Nov 16, 2017
Very interesting concept. The lead is an excellent actor the writing is interesting, however I stoped watching because it seemed like they had a lack of new good content to share so they threw in a lot of unnecessary graphic sex. (same sex)sex I'm not a prood I just don't think I'm the demigraphic they are marketing to. I also believe this was a good enough concept that it didn't need sex scenes at all. I'm not sure why that seems to be the go to when making a show these days..

This season is better than the first with stronger writing. The whole cast continues to give stupendous performances but Viola Davis shines the most.
  • Mar 27, 2017
Season 2 of HTGAWM is definitely the best season of HTGAWM compared to the 1st and 3rd season. It manages to lives up to its name. This season gives you a full package of drama and mind-blowing plot twist.
