Lucy Ricardo is the wacky wife of Cuban bandleader Ricky Ricardo. Living in New York, Ricky tries to succeed in show business while Lucy -- always trying to help -- usually manages to get in some kind of trouble that drives Ricky crazy. Their best friends are Fred and Ethel Mertz, who are also their landlords. Usually, Ethel becomes Lucy's less-than-willing partner in crime. Ricky and Lucy welcomed little Ricky in 1953, whose birth was a national TV event. Later in the show's run, the Ricardos (and the Mertzes) moved to Hollywood, where Ricky tried to become a movie star.

01/14/2020 The second season of the amazing show is just as good as the first. Lucy is as funny as ever, and it just makes me feel good about Lucy and myself. See more 10/23/2017 The second season of 'I Love Lucy' is adorable. Friendship, showbiz and household all create laughter in this season which is also marked by Lucy's (real life) pregnancy. Hilarious and delightful, some episodes are real gems, including the memorable 'Job Switching', the so cute 'Operetta', the highly comic 'Sales Resistance' and the record-breaking episode 'Lucy Goes to the Hospital'. Season 2 is perhaps the most concentrated season with "household"episodes, being less various than Season 1 and 3 in fancy ones but filled with emotion, and containing some quintessential moments in the apartment (or the nightclub) with the Mertzes and the Ricardos.
