It's a lot of hair gel, suntan lotion and skimpy clothing for the young adults featured in this reality series. After a first season spent in the beach town of Seaside Heights, N.J., the party moved south to Miami Beach for season two before friendships and flames were rekindled back at the original Jersey shore house in the third, fifth and sixth seasons. In between, a new type of renaissance ensued when the roomies brought their trademark fist-pumping and family dysfunction to Italy in season four. The historic city of Florence, it's safe to assume, may never recover. The series ran for six seasons and became MTV's highest-rated series ever.

See more Natasha R @MsNatasha Aug 26 I moved to a foreign country and apparently felt homesick - I don't know why but binge watching the Jersey Shore has been helping. Would I recommend this show to someone who has never seen it? No - absolutely not. Is it nostalgic? Yes. Yes, it is. I would honestly say that this season was better than the first one. The crew got more comfortable with one another. Vinny started to let loose a bit and become a bigger part of the guy group. Snookie was an excellent friend to everyone. This might be an unpopular or controversial opinion, but Sammy is easily my least favorite person in the house. She gaslights people around her, says "I don't know what to do" when she knows exactly what she plans on doing, has no backbone, and is constantly starting fights. She is a terrible friend to everyone and never seems to help others. Her friends told her the truth and instead of getting mad at the person causing problems (Ron) she got mad at everyone for not being more direct? Crazy focus - she should have been more concerned with the action and not the delivery.
