After the emotional highs the DCAU once hit, this run settles into comfortable, colorful routine. The episodes are enjoyable, breezy, and packed with heroes, capturing that classic Saturday morning cartoon energy. There’s nothing wrong with that; it’s fun comfort viewing. But the storytelling rarely reaches the layered greatness of earlier DC animated projects. Stakes feel lighter, arcs thinner, and surprises safer. Fans will smile, but seldom be stunned. I really hope this series gets brought back in my lifetime, I really think multiple seasons could be easily successful now! I also really love the relationship between heros! Many episodes actually focus on the Legion of Doom and their dynamic including the classic "The Great Brain Robbery", in which Flash and Lex Luthor switch brains to hilarious effect (a great touch in that Michael Rossebaum, the voice of the Flash, played Lex Luthor on "Smallville").
