Manual labor is the name of the game for people in the frozen wilderness of Alaska and the Yukon, who risk their lives just by going to work every day. They are winter trappers, and they deal with such obstacles as subzero temperatures, inhospitable terrain and dangerous predators in order to catch fur in the dead of winter -- the only time of year that the activity is legally sanctioned in the area. The trappers featured on the show include veteran bushman Cor, who wonders if he still has what it takes to live a trapper's life, and anti-social adrenaline junkie Guy, whose biggest fear is he won't be able to afford to continue trapping and will have to get a job in the city.
