Critic Reviews for Mr. Robot Season 3

All Critics (20) | Top Critics (7)

If you are willing to engage, willing to challenge yourself, it's some of the most fascinating television happening right now. Though given the past two seasons, that's hardly at all a twist.

This has perhaps turned out to be the most oddly hopeful season of the show to date.

Season three is everything Mr Robot was promising to be in its first season and now lives up to the standard set by Malek's exceptional lead performance.

If you watched and loved the show's first season, and have not got around to the second season, you can skip it and just watch the third season, which, like the first, has narrative motion. The second season is inert.

Mr. Robot is good again. Very good. And that is a very good thing. Play me out, Leon.

Real Life or Fantasy?: While attempting to distill the confusing complexities of Mr. Robot down to digestible size, Queen's epic ballad "Bohemian Rhapsody" comes to mind.

That's the problem with Mr. Robot: It feels revolutionary until you stop and think about it.

Nov 20, 2017 | Full Review…

Reality, as we know it, is frightening. But as viewed through the lens of "Mr. Robot," Esmail makes the fictionalized version of our increasingly dystopic existence palatable, even exciting.

Compelling character work, reality bending social commentary, techno-suspense and mystery. If it ain't broke, don't hack it.

Season 3 of Mr. Robot is a masterpiece, ballasting the global ambitions of season 2 while sharpening back to the meticulous build of season 1.

Audience Reviews for Mr. Robot: Season 3

  • Aug 02, 2019
Season 3 probably the best season of the best show of the decade

Bobby Cannavale is terrific amazing as a psychopath in his loyalty to the Dark Army. Even though it's like that, I also can't trust him because we never know what the fourth season will be. This third season completes many vague puzzles. The third season is more a settlement after what happened in the previous season. Esmail is everything and when it comes to "Mr. Robot", it was one of the promising shows to live up the standard premise. Now, how does this series end? How come the new battle after Vera reappeared? Brings the season fourth now.

getting closer to its original roots, season 3 is almost as good as the first! Can't wait for season 4 now! ")
  • Mar 14, 2019
Rami Malek is phenomenal. He is the best young actor on the scene right now. The lengths he is willing to go to bring the watcher to the brink of despair and lonliness is incredible. All the actors are incredible and the story line is the best on television. This whole series will be a cult classic to be rewatched over and over.

Season 3 brings things back up to par with the first season. It also ramps up the stakes quite high. New revelations with characters and climactic moments put you on the edge of your seat more than ever before.
  • Dec 31, 2018
This show really makes you think!
  • Aug 02, 2018
Consistently amazing. The wait in between seasons can somewhat erode the ANTICIPATION but once you start again, it's just as absorbing as you remember.
  • Jul 25, 2018
Gripping third season. Looking forward for more.
  • Feb 27, 2018
If you have loved season 1 and found season 2 not much interested, I would suggest you to watch season 3. It's not boring like season 2 but it's much more involving and alive. Something is happening in every episode, you will find answers to hundreds of questions you have in your mind because of shitty season 2.

The way this show creates this alternate reality, but at the same time has so many parallels to our own, gives it a rich and enthralling story-line that I can only really describe as a masterpiece.
