The series starts with the opening battle at Mons. Excellent drama based series of heroic people in a disastrously strategic pathetic war that saw so many lives wasted. First aired in 2014 it consists of 3 episodes. Although it recived high veiwing reviews I'm unable to find any suggestion there will be a follow-up, which is such a shame. I don't remember this initially being advertised so I'm assuming it wasn't given prominence. As an historian the drama gives a well documented picture of WW1. Superb filming and excellent characterisation mixed with a modern music twist. Don't make the mistake I made by googling the names of the soldiers it depicts before watching the end of each episode, but I certainly recommend to do so after. See more Read all reviews
