In this spin-off of "The Mary Tyler Moore Show," Rhoda Morgenstern leaves best pal Mary Richards and her other friends in Minneapolis, Minn., to try her luck in Manhattan. That means reconnecting with supportive sister Brenda and mom Ida, who constantly meddles in Rhoda's personal affairs.

Mike P @RT09890132 08/23/2023 Watchable spinoff of the Mary Tyler Moore show. Not on the same level of that show--but it's not bad. I think having Rhoda get married was a mistake. This show works best when it's about wacky Rhoda running around NYC, trying to get by; as a single girl; sort of struggling and hanging out with her sister; clowning. The Mad About You stuff doesn't work very well. And the supporting cast isn't quite as strong as MTM... But it's still ok... Verdict: moderate thumbs up See more Ed M @RT80499164 07/26/2021 Weak.
