Critic reviews for What a Piece of Work Is Man
Gemma's secret may be killing her, but the intriguing question is whether it will kill everyone else first.

I actually really enjoyed the episode and thought it was one of the best of the season. It had cut-up corpses, some sex on a cop car, and a huge death.
One thing is clear after seven seasons, this life does not very often draw distinctions between the guilty and the innocent or the deserving and the undeserving.
After the last few episodes were little more than the show spinning its wheels until there can be some kind of confrontation between Jax and Gemma, "What a Piece of Work Is Man" offers the unfamiliar feeling that something is actually at stake.
It may be the hardest death to hit SAMCRO since Sons of Anarchy premiered in 2008.
While Jax acts as if his grand plans are just now starting to unravel, his revenge-fueled journey has been fueled by misstep after bloody misstep as the Sons frantically attempt to put Band-Aids over the scars. And it?s not working.
