Michele I @RT57629328 06/01/2023 The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles must join forces with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to face off against Shredder, only to need to join forces with a third set of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to save all of the realms. Three different versions of the Ninja Turtles is a ride for any TMNT fans life. This movie 3 part TV special, how ever you wish to see it is a stand alone wonder. It is our first time seeing the Turtles interact with each other. A lot of fun as we see them enter each others worlds, meet their families and friends and face off against dangerous enemies. Personal opinions.. what I don't like: 1. How dumbed down the 1987 Turtles are set to be in this. They are giving each other noogies, they are not acting fully like themselves and it just feels off seeing them this way which made me not feel like these were the Turtles I knew, but another new realm of Turtles. I would still love to see the old Turtles return in something, not just voices - but personalities set to what we knew them as in the old show. 2. The voices of the 1987 Turtles, this is not the studios fault all the way... they're non union and the original voice cast is a union cast so they couldn't use the Turtles. But I'm sure they could've done better with voice matching, the hardest one to listen to is a voice actor I really do love in most of his other work, Dan Green as Leonardo. Dan has done a lot of projects, including worked on the 2003 TMNT series before where I love his work, but he does not sound like Cam Clarke, at all, so it would throw me out of the movie when he'd talk. Another proof that these are not the Turtles from the 1987 series, but a new realm that we never seen the full story of. 3. That this was the end of the 2003 series, I wanted to see the show go on with the newly mutated Hun... who now has a real beef with the Turtles and would be an even greater enemy as he'd want to be human again. 4. How easy Mirage Shredder was beaten. He's a fully trained Ninja and deserved some respect, true he died in the first issue of the Mirage comics, but he did put up his fight and those Turtles were trained to kill him. But that ending was disrespectful towards one of my favorite Shredders. Now for what I loved, first I'll say my first time seeing this was the uncut version during a party at San Diego Comic Con 2009. I was sitting next to the 2003 voices of Leonardo and Donatello. Ernie Reyes Jr, who played Keno in TMNT 2 and was Donatello's stunt double for TMNT 1 was there. Along with many other faces of Turtle talent and fans. Talk about an epic event. Seeing it on the big screen was great, and was supposed to happen around the US, but the Viacom buy out put an end to the theater release where people were refunded and then the DVD that came out was the edited version... a little bit of a disappointment... but the memory of that event will always stay try true as one of my favorite things with the movie... it was the release party. Now my likes. 1. Raphael breaking the third wall 2. My favorite villains from the 2003 series getting to make their appearances and Hun being mutated into a Turtle 3. The Turtles meeting each other, and seeing the Mirage Turtles animated for the first time. 4. Splinter from the 1987 series was done so well! 5. The ending with Eastman and Laird. This is a movie I do recommend for all fans. It should've had it theater release and we still need the uncut version to come out on DVD, there's no reason for it to be edited.
