News & Interviews for The Arrangement: Season 1
[The Arrangement is] E!'s sexy new scripted offering - part Hollywood fairy tale, part Hollywood cautionary tale - which, for the record, is definitely NOT about Scientology and the arranged marriage of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.
The Arrangement entirely misses the point of why we get obsessed with some celebrity matches, even when we can freely admit that we really know nothing about the famous people involved.
The Arrangement has already gone in some interesting directions. It is absolutely a soap, but much more nakedly cynical.
I don't know whether I wanted The Arrangement to be realer or trashier or funnier, but it needed to be something more.
Evangelista certainly makes an impression. She plays a muted desperation that makes her ultimate decision to accept the proposal believable.
Evangelista plays Megan as effortlessly cool - confident, with just a hint of vulnerability - and she's the main reason that the new E! scripted series is a delight to watch.
If anything, The Arrangement plays it a little too straight and sedate. An injection of just a little crazy would make the whole enterprise more fun.
Well-placed breadcrumbs make you want to tune in to one more episode at least.
Everything presented so far in The Arrangement has my attention. Even though it's not going to be a happy ending, it's hard to turn away.
The show needs more juice. Instead of skirting away, it needs to embrace the story that inspired it.
Audience Reviews for The Arrangement: Season 1
Aug 05, 2020More entertaining because of the cast rather than the story.
May 15, 2020A decent show. At times, a bit too much treading the surface without really "diving in", but still interesting nonetheless.
