John Gray, an associate pastor at Joel Osteen's Lakewood Church in Houston, is known for a larger-than-life sense of humor that helps him connect with people and makes him different than traditional preachers. This series profiles John and wife Aventer as they, through their ministry, work to help people overcome life's challenges as John struggles with his own obstacles as a husband and father, in addition to dealing with his diabetes. John isn't the only one helping people on this reality show, which also showcases Aventer as she brings her motherly touch to the ministry and assists people in her own way.
