Mr P Jul 12 Not bad. Gentle mysteries mostly well acted. Adrian Scarborough is excellent as lead and holds the whole thing together. From series 2 onwards Scarborough has a new sergeant who has the worst wardrobe in the whole of British television history. That includes Steptoe. See more Just I May 26 Thought I was going to like it but turned in typical police drama. Bland characters, v lightweight story lines. The lead Detectives wander around picking up clues with zero effort, little bit of lightweight banter, some BBC moral pointers all nicey nice. Got boring and predictable. It's kind of a *Midsomer Murders* in the big city. The acting is good and the characters are interesting. I really like the contrast of the other-side-of-the-tracks detective that lives on a boat, working cases in the high glitz and glamour of Chelsea. Adrian Scarborough does a very good job creating a Columbo'ish' type of character.
