An unmistakable urgency pushes The Man Who Fell to Earth — not just in Faraday’s mission and his belief in the ends justifying the means, but the environmental criticism guiding his journey and ours. Go to Full Review

Brucewane a Jul 11 Chiwetel Ejiofor turns in some of his finest work in The Man Who Fell to Earth—easily on par with, or even better than, his performance in Firefly. Watching him transform from a disoriented alien into a tech mogul and corporate giant was mesmerizing. The character arc is rich and believable, and Ejiofor handles it with intensity, depth, and soulful depth. His portrayal captures both the wonder and weight of his mission, making every step of his journey compelling to watch. Naomie Harris is equally powerful, strong, brilliant, and emotionally grounded. She brings a quiet resilience that balances the otherworldly elements with something deeply human. Jimmi Simpson is a standout as well, bringing a Javert-like obsession to his pursuit of the alien. But unlike Javert in Les Misérables, Simpson’s character is driven by something darker and more self-serving, which makes his presence feel both complex and gravely threatening. This series is a slow-burn sci-fi with brains, heart, and standout performances across the board. The character work alone makes it worth watching. I wish there was a season 2 coming. I do not understand why great shows like this are not renewed for more seasons. A must watch! Cant enjoy a show these days untill the fuc.....ng woke agenda kicks in... Sad, was enjoying the story and the actors but had to drop the show when someone show up out of context with a t-shirt saying "woke a. f.". I just want to watch a good story with good acting. When faced with propaganda its over for me. See more Jacquelin M @Rocknjackie 07/04/2023 Very well done. Great performances by the cast. Specially, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Bill Nighy.
