    Oof, that was Rotten.

    Meh, it passed the time.

Critic Reviews for The Middle Season 7

All Critics (4) | Top Critics (2)

As long as they don't let Sue disappear and they do give Brick, who was slightly underused in this premiere, more story, The Middle is going to be just fine - and so are the Hecks.

There was precious little chance that this season would kick off in any way other than with Sue being completely beside herself with excitement about starting college, and - no surprise here - The Middle did not disappoint on that front.

Too many sitcoms nowadays go more for cleverness than wisdom. This show happens to have both. It's classic comfort food, but it also has edge and bite.

This is a strong season for The Middle. At a time in a show's long life when it could be coasting or repeating itself, the series remains surprising.

Audience Reviews for The Middle: Season 7

This season has quite a few great episodes, but a few bad ones, also while not really following a specific storyline. It will still most definitely do it's job to entertain the family.

This show is still making my family and I laugh even after all of these amazing 7 seasons.
  • Aug 28, 2016
The season started not so great but after the first few episodes it was very good.

I worried how they would keep the interest up in a family show where the characters are at a stage of going their own ways, but they have done so beautifully. I'm enjoying walking through the changes. When it could really all go wrong, it's all really gone right. The individual stories are great while somehow maintaining a beautiful cohesiveness. Great writing, great acting, great family enjoyment. Every Wednesday as I work through a lot of daily grind, I look forward to my "Wednesday night show" that evening.

Wonderful, family oriented comedy with heart to spare. Shows a (semi-)dysfunctional family is still a family. Love all the great cameos.
