The Resurrected is a bit strange and somewhat disjointed, but the prospects of where the story can go with the resurrection storyline are fascinating to contemplate. Go to Full Review

Despite its issues, The Resurrected never relents in its mystery, with each new peeled layer adding more ambiguity and intrigue. If the screenwriters had just done away with the gimmicky supernatural component...it would have been fantastic. Go to Full Review

Netflix’s diverse international catalogue has its fair share of revenge dramas, but none quite like this one, which in our current climate has to be commended, imperfections and all. Go to Full Review

This is a true genre hybrid of a series with crime, thriller, mystery, and drama as the main genres. With nine episodes, it has plenty of time to cover the character-driven storylines. Go to Full Review

Esra Y @RT95409318 Jan 20 Premise is interesting, proceeds into a typical revenge story but they seemed to believe their story and it kept me watching till the end. I do not like victims turn out to be contributors as final plot twist. See more Mick G. @wok_is_a_thing Jan 9 What’s going on with Taiwanese movies and TV series? You used to produce great ones 20 -30 years ago. But this one, as well as a few others I watched recently are so bad that I started thinking maybe some kind of weird virus is infecting their mind. This TV series is laughable at best. Two mothers incapable of controlling their emotion, crying and screaming all the time beat up their daughters’ murderer/abuser only to call ambulance because they are worried that the guy is hurt. The guy ended up breaking loose from the ambulance, engaging in street fight with police and succeeded, only to be recaptured by the same two women and brought back to the same little “jail room”. And the guy apparently looked healthy without need for medical attention after all. So 30 minutes is wasted for no reason. Who wrote the plot and who thought it was a good idea to put in there? Things like that are all over the series. See more Edward K @RT95105440 Oct 17 The premise is midly interesting but it turned out to be so inconsequential that it cannot make up for the glaring inconsistencies and incoherence. This is one of those series where things must happen only to serve themselves and not logic. The never-ending plot twists are tiresome. The story’s believability and emotional impact are undermined and everything felt contrived, with the sole purpose of achieving shock value (but I was too desensitised to feel many of them after a while). Because things were not allowed to unfold naturally, I grew weary and disengaged, as the constant reversals upended the story’s logic and the characters’ motivations. It came across as very poor directing/editing/story-telling. It got so bad that when it got to the finale, I really just couldn't be bothered and wished that everyone died. With incredible thanks to the excessive twists it, meaningful moments were hollowed out. There is no sense of revelation, and in the end, the lack of restraint turned this series into something I played in the background as I worked - why bother investing in watching any of the narrative before the twists? At heart, it's just a non-linear procedural series that would have been VERY VERY BORING if not for its disjointed/fragmented storytelling. If it had been linear, the plotholes, inconsistencies and incoherence would have been even more unforgiving. The acting cannot save the show. Don't watch it unless you have exhausted everything else on your watchlist. I wish shows pay more attention to details. The story flows well with solid script and direction, showing a realistic take on Southeast Asian scammers. It also gives another layer of perspective for the audience. See more Read all reviews
