The narrative is bogged down with excessive dialogue, leaving little room for excitement or suspense, making it difficult to stay invested. Scenes drag, and attention wanes to the point that I found myself rewinding just to follow along. The pacing suffers, and the thrill that made the first season compelling is nearly absent. Rather than a satisfying continuation, this season feels overlong and unfocused. Fans of the original would have been better served by a shorter finale or a concise closing film. Overall, Season Two is a frustrating disappointment, failing to honor the story and characters that made Sandman memorable, and it undermines the series’ potential, leaving viewers dissatisfied and disengaged. See more Jeffrey C. @jealousauteur Jan 6 For one of the uninitiated into the “source material”, I find it makes no sense and saps all dramatic effect that The Sandman is shorn of all affect by actor Tom Sturridge - except to say his performance is sleep (and perhaps dream) inducing. He drones on monotonously and he stares vacantly and stone faced at whomever he addresses. RT writes that his acting is “ethereal”. That’s nonsense. Nada would never fall for such a wet blanket. So I need to read Neil Gaimon. See more Ghostking N @shadowofaghost Dec 22 First of all, it is a WASTE of time. Seriously, don't do it. I always wanted to watch it for myself to judge it. Please don't do it. If u liked the first season, keep it in mind and think to yourself it ended there. The plot feels very forced. Every Story is pointless, because in the end, they NEVER receive anything. The actors are all lovely, they do their best with the trash script they got. I watched the last few episodes on 1.5 Speed. Otherwise, it wasn't bearable. And they turned it into a shitty family drama, where no one really cares about another- but we stick together because we are family. I really can't put into words how bad it is. Not even the visuals can hold on to the S1 standards. Spoiler: In the end, a lot die, but come back just to say that it doesn't mean anything....it's trying to be Poetic and excuse itself.
