This could be a great balm for those still missing The Bridge, but only if the rapport between the two detectives is as warm and humorous as the one Bachir and Kruger developed.

Sure its backdrop of grey, English Channel towns, with their 1970s architecture and prolific seagulls, is hardly uplifting, but the characters feel believable with real depths and conflicts.
