Water-thin plot with holes as big as swiss cheese, and non-existent character development of non-likeable characters. The plot is tired and formulaic: a (non-scary) ghost, rich people living in a large home with secret passages and dungeons, lots of extraneous characters with no purpose whatsoever, characters randomly hooking up with no preamble and nothing to follow, lots of people creeping up and demanding "What do you think you are doing?" that substitute for jump scares (which would have been preferable to the boredom). Dragged out to umpteen episodes that I hate myself for watching, thinking it was going to go somewhere. Actress Kelly Bishop is the only shining light, and her talents were wasted on what seemed to be written by a 14-year-old. Hated itttttt! See more Ginger B 04/14/2023 Meh, exactly. If I had to do it over again, I'd skip this series. Seemed promising early on, but it's long and drawn out and the story/characters quickly wear thin. To rate this show and give helpful information, you have to decide what kind of viewer you are... experienced and a critic of good writing, or, Entry level; Check your brain at the door and go with the flow. If it's the latter, you may really like it. Because I have seen many, for me, this show is sub-par writing and creativity ... (Ruby, baby, lady in photo, ghost, Dah!) But what bugs me more is the obvious injection of current social issues to make a point. Like, "Hey, look at us! We support non-binary!" It's so contrived that it's distracting. Even irritating.
