Typhoon Family has a predictable premise and a first episode that takes way too long to set that premise up. Go to Full Review

Miriã F @MihFigliolino Dec 31 Typhoon Family is an exciting, fun, and very sensitive series. It addresses family and personal issues with great depth and reflection. The protagonist, Kang Tae-Poong, teaches us how to overcome life's adversities without giving up, without losing the essence of who we are, and how to keep those we love close. Throughout the story, we see his maturation from a playboy to an intelligent and good CEO who takes care of everyone around him. The series portrays very well how difficult it was for South Korea to live through that financial crisis in the late 90s. An entire country affected, but which recovered thanks to the patriotism and dedication of its people. It was definitely the best K-drama I've watched to date. Lee Junho brings Kang Tae-Poong to life in an exciting and perfect way! Deserving of many awards for his dedicated and impeccable performance! Set during Korea’s 1997–1998 financial crisis, the drama beautifully captures an era filled with analog charm — watching it feels like stepping into a time capsule. The story weaves humor, heartfelt moments, and quiet healing in a way that feels both comforting and powerful. At the center of it all is Lee Junho. His performance is magnetic — from nuanced acting to unexpected moments of singing and dancing, he brings an undeniable life to every scene. The protagonist’s struggles make you ache for him, yet you can’t help but cheer him on as he grows. And with each episode ending on a gripping note, it’s impossible not to hit "Next." Warm, nostalgic, and emotionally rich, Typhoon Family is a standout Korean drama that stays with you long after the final scene. A must-watch. The antagonist have given so much burden to typhoon trading and has very slow progress unlike Itaewon Class which have the same storyline. will be on episode 13 but Tae Pong still did not have a successful trading coz of bullshit Pyo Trading. If ep 13 still does not have a progress, i'll be dropping this drama. See more Read all reviews
