A diner in a trendy Manhattan neighborhood is a way station for a variety of characters on both sides of the counter: aspiring actress Gabriella; Michael, a very neurotic, struggling playwright; sharp-tongued real estate agent Suzanne; Vince, the diner's dreadlocked owner; spacey waiter Albie; and rock-star wannabe Carrie.
