This series is a solid attempt at a book adaptation. Dawn has an intriguing narrative that suffers from pacing issues. There are some promising storylines, but it's interrupted by time jumps and jerky character development Go to Full Review

While it’s tempting to give V.C. Andrews’ Dawn a recommendation just on the strength of the performances of Mills and Bassinger, the rest of the first episode is cheaply made with an underbaked story and clunky dialogue. Go to Full Review
Rob Owen Pittsburgh Tribune-Review 07/06/2023
For viewers who appreciate so-bad-its-entertaining movies, Dawn may hold some promise. But unlike, say, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, which knew it was camp, it’s completely unclear if Dawn is trying to be campy. Go to Full Review

Emily P 09/19/2024 Well, I started watching Lifetimes movies of the VC Andrews novels 10 years ago when they remade Flowers in the attic but continued the story, I liked Flowers in the attic, My Sweet Audrina, The Ruby series and the Heaven series but there was something about the Dawn series I liked the best about all the books that have been brought to life. I think a lot of it had to do with Brec as Dawn and Donna Mills playing Lilian Cutler. I felt like the character of Lilian Cutler reminded me in away of Miss. Trunchbull from Matilda but having toned the Trunchbull done by a lot. See more Michael C 08/10/2024 Great series don't listen to the haters!!!!
