Charles Knight worked on a variety of projects during his entertainment career. Knight worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "Bloody Mama" (1970), "Five Easy Pieces" (1970) starring Jack Nicholson and "Killer Dill" (1947). He also contributed to "Pals of the Saddle" (1938) starring John Wayne, "Silent Running" with Bruce Dern (1971) and "The Late Liz" (1971). Knight was nominated for a Sound Academy Award for "Butterflies Are Free" in 1972 as well as for an Outstanding Achievement In Film or Tape Sound Mixing Primetime Emmy Award for "The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman" in 1974. In the seventies, Knight devoted his time to various credits, such as "The Seeding of Sarah Burns" (CBS, 1978-79), "The Great Cash Giveaway Getaway" (NBC, 1979-1980) and "The Yeagers" (ABC, 1979-1980). He also worked on "Topper" (ABC, 1979-1980). In the eighties, Knight lent his talents to projects like "A Reason to Live" (NBC, 1984-85), "Heart of a Champion: The Ray Mancini Story" (CBS, 1984-85) and "The Rape of Richard Beck" (ABC, 1984-85).
